All Proof-Positive Pistol Patch Jags are made with a special alloy and secondary treatment process that eliminates brass and ensures barrel safety. This alloy is as soft as brass but has a high tensile strength to prevent bending and cracking when a tight patch is applied.
Traditional brass patch jags are made up of more than 60% copper. When you use effective copper removing cleaners, you will notice a blue copper fouling color on your patches even if there is no copper in the bore.
