Description
The Ruger American® Rifle Generation II Prairie in 6.5 Creedmoor combines Ruger’s proven American Rifle platform with a heavier bull-contour barrel and updated Gen II features.
The rifle features a 20″ cold hammer-forged bull-contour barrel finished in Smoked Bronze Cerakote. Shallow spiral fluting increases surface area to assist with cooling, while the 5/8″-24 threaded muzzle is supplied with a factory thread protector.
The Black Splatter Gen II American stock provides a comfortable, secure grip without an overly aggressive texture. Its adjustable length of pull can be configured from 12″ to 13.75″, while the removable low comb is designed to provide improved alignment when using magnified optics.
For consistent operation, the rifle incorporates a three-position tang safety, Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger, stainless-steel three-lug bolt with a 70° throw and Ruger’s Power Bedding™ integral bedding block system.
A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base provides a ready mounting platform for an appropriate optic.
